Diversified Behavioral Services (DBS)

Studies show that nearly everyone experiences a problem with anxiety, depression, stress, or a troubled relationship at some point in their lives. Our caring mental health professionals share techniques to help you think more positively, change behavior, and reduce symptoms so that you can begin to feel better.
For more than 30 years, psychologist Dr. George Smith and our experienced and dedicated professionals at Diversified Behavioral Services have offered compassionate, high quality and confidential mental health services in a culturally sensitive environment. We treat individuals, couples and families who want to make changes in their lives and their relationships. Some people need help coping with a life-altering crisis; others need help dealing with everyday stresses; others want to understand or bring closure to painful past events.
Recognizing that every person and situation is unique, our interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical social workers, will tailor a treatment method to meet your individual needs. Frequently Asked Questions:
How long does treatment last?
The length of treatment varies depending upon your individual progress. Our treatment methods focus on rapidly helping to change thinking patterns and behaviors that may be causing your symptoms.
What kind of treatment is right for me?
Every individual's treatment is different. The type, length and frequency of treatment are determined by the therapist and patient working together.
Does insurance cover my treatment? What are the qualifications of the therapists?
Many insurance companies reimburse for treatment; although each individual plan is different. You must check with your health insurance carrier and determine:
(1) If your individual plan reimburses for mental health services, and (2) if Diversified Behavioral Services is on their provider list. You may contact our office (773) 239-9700 to assist with insurance coverage verification. We also accept major credit cards for private pay clients.
